With its international student population growing, the University of Limerick implemented CampusConnect as a way to facilitate group-based information dissemination and reduce the volume of email queries staff were receiving from offer-holders.

“CampusConnect was precisely what we were looking for. Rather than dealing with individual emails, we can answer questions in real-time where assigned groups of applicants can see them and benefit from them. That cuts down the need for repeat generic queries, making life easier for us and much more convenient for our offer-holders.”

  4. Liverpool John Moores University

    England

LJMU first launched CampusConnect 6 years ago, and since then it has been steadily expanding the scope of the deployment. The UG Admissions team wanted a way to give applicants a feel for the university and the LJMU community before they arrived. CampusConnect offered a bespoke solution, supporting peer-to-peer connections and providing a sense of belonging. The results of the undergraduate expansion speak for themselves: over 3,000 undergraduate offer-holders signed up to the platform, of which 75% went on to enrol at the university.

  5. Anglia Ruskin University

    England

ARU faced difficulty in predicting international student conversion rates, making it challenging to predict cohort size and make the right number of offers to meet targets, which inhibited growth. The university partnered with CampusConnect to support international students before they arrive.

Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) launched a dedicated community platform to support international students during the pre-arrival period, helping them build connections and feel a sense of belonging before arriving on campus. Using student ambassadors and live chat events with university departments, CCCU created an engaging space where students could ask questions, access key resources, and connect with peers, reducing staff workload and email inquiries.

  10. University College Cork

    Ireland

University College Cork partnered with CampusConnect to launch an entirely digital service to enhance support of international students in their transition into Ireland and the University. Recognising that students arriving from overseas need reassurance from peers that there will be somebody to share this experience with, UCC opted for a digital solution that allowed applicants to provide mutual support and reassure each other that they’re not alone.

“The platform gives us dynamic and bespoke channels to engage incoming students, and to allay some of the anxiety that is natural when moving to a new country. We know that community matters, and this project is a good example of how digital communities can be inclusive, supportive, and important. Our ambition is nothing short of setting students up for growth and progress towards their dreams.”

Christopher Brown, Director of International Office
  11. Maynooth University

    Ireland

Maynooth’s international team works with its student ambassadors and alumni to provide support, friendship and guidance to incoming students via the Maynooth University CampusConnect. It’s a win-win situation: ambassadors meaningfully welcome applicants into the MU community whilst developing their own skills and networks.

“At MU we want to make sure we offer support to our students, before, during and after their experience. The ‘before’ part is essential, as it will be a factor that influences their decision for the students to come to MU for their studies. We recognise that for students, contact with someone of their age enables easier communication, as they can feel comfortable and as equals.”

Pauline Di Girolamo, former International Officer

What our partners say

“CampusConnect is a very cost effective platform that meets the segmented and tailored needs of our applicants, and allows us to communicate with them in a highly engaged and supportive manner in a society that expects immediacy of response. The CampusConnect team adapt their product to suit our needs as a University, rather than expecting us to make our processes fit in with them. This then forms a seamless and effective part of the offer holder journey, embracing them as part of the LJMU community from the minute they are on the app.”
